From installation to your first event, in 10 steps. For details on every screen, see the full guide.
Download ZO-Donations, open ZO-Donations-macOS.dmg, drag ZO-Donations to the Applications folder, and open it. Your browser opens on the "First launch" screen: choose a password for the dashboard and click "Save and log in". Details
On the empty dashboard, click "✦ Setup wizard – step by step", or "✦ Setup wizard" in the top bar at any time. The wizard takes you through steps 3–8 on this page in order, in 8 steps: event and date, license, backup, fundraisers and a test donation from your phone, graphics, output to the screen, rehearsal and a summary. You can leave at any step and come back with "Continue wizard". Details
The event picker at the top of the dashboard → "+ New event…", and give it a name. To prepare without a license there's also a demo event (Event settings → Manage events → "+ Demo event (trial)"), always open and limited to 24 donations. For the license: Connection → License → paste the activation code and choose the event. Or "30-day free trial" with your email. Details
Backup & restore → choose a destination from the short list: a connected USB drive, a cloud-synced folder, or a folder on the computer. The other options are under "More options". Without a backup destination, intake is blocked. Download the recovery kit and keep it safe. Details
Fundraisers → "+ Add fundraiser" – one for each fundraiser or station. Each one gets a personal link and QR code that open in any browser: phone, tablet or computer. The device has to be on the same network as the computer. Details
Display & outputs → "Display window" for a screen connected to the computer, or "VJ link" for another computer. The background is black by default, and you can choose green, blue or transparent. Details
LED screen → Editor → File ▾ → "Sample graphics" or upload your own graphics. Mark boxes, and turn on the canvas NDI output. In Resolume, choose the source "ZO-Donations Canvas". You can have several canvases per event and switch between them on air. Details
Live control → "▶ Donation simulation". Made-up names and amounts come in every few seconds, so you can see the screens and the output in action. They don't count toward the total or the reports. While rehearsal mode is on, an orange bar at the top of the dashboard reminds you, with a "Turn off rehearsal mode" button. Details
Live control shows the total, the incoming donations and the fundraisers. You can edit and delete donations in the "Donations" area. On the LED screen: scenes on keys 1–9, and freeze. Details
Client report → "Create link and code" and give them to the client. In Donations → export to Excel, CSV or PDF. In Backup & restore → "Event ended". Details
